Shentu, previously known as CertiK Chain, is a security-focused Layer 1 blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK. The ecosystem also includes the Shentu Virtual Machine, which is optimized for security and is compatible with other major blockchain environments. The native utility token of the network is CTK. It serves several critical roles within the ecosystem. It is used to pay for transaction gas fees and to reward participants who contribute to the security analysis performed by the Security Oracles. Holders can also stake their tokens to secure the network through validators and participate in decentralized governance by voting on protocol upgrades and security-related decisions. Additionally, the token is used as collateral within the ShentuShield system to provide liquidity for potential reimbursements. By combining real-time monitoring, formal verification tools, and a decentralized insurance-like mechanism, Shentu aims to create a more resilient environment for developers and users.
